I gave up my minimalist BuJo and switched to a full art journal approach
I had this tiny traveler's notebook with just dates and tasks for about 6 months. Everyone in my local meetup group said simple spreads are the only way to stay consistent. But I got bored and started adding washi tape, stickers, and little drawings of my dog. Now I actually want to open the thing every day instead of treating it like a chore. Has anyone else found that going decorative actually helped them stick with their journal?

Loved reading this because you basically described my exact same journey. Started with a bare bones bullet journal and felt like I was failing at it until I let myself go wild with the collage stuff. The thing nobody tells you is that making it pretty actually makes you wanna track your habits more, not less. Now I spend way too long picking out which sticker matches my mood for the week and somehow my sleep tracker is more accurate than ever.

Same, half my stickers now have full backstories.
