Found a weird trick to stop my index from bleeding through pages

I use a Moleskine dotted notebook and every time I wrote on the left page the ink would ghost through to the right, even with fine pens. Tried putting a sheet of plastic behind the page as a barrier and it Actually worked like a charm. Anybody else got a simple fix for paper bleed that doesn't involve switching notebooks?

Four years with a Moleskine and I never even noticed the ghosting until I read this. Is it really that big of a problem or just something you see if you hold the page up to a bright light? I figure if the writing is still readable on both sides, who cares.

Oh definitely, I think it's one of those things where once you see it you can't unsee it lol. If you're just using regular ballpoint pens the ghosting is barely noticeable, but fountain pen users end up with a whole shadow dimension on the back of every page. Honestly though, if you're still happy with how your notebook works after four years then you're doing it right, doesn't matter what anyone else says.
