Ditched my weekly spread for a minimalist daily log...
I spent months doing these elaborate weekly layouts with color coding and washi tape, but I switched to a plain daily rapid log three weeks ago. Now I just write the date and my tasks in a list, no fussing with boxes or banners. Has anyone else found the simple method actually keeps you more consistent?

Noticed the same thing with a lot of stuff actually. There's this weird pattern where the more time you spend setting up a system, the less time you actually spend using it. Like with cooking, I used to plan these elaborate weekly meal prep sessions and then I'd just order takeout because I was too tired from planning. Now I just keep a few basic ingredients around and cook whatever feels right that day. Same with my workout routine, used to have this whole color coded spreadsheet for tracking sets and reps, now I just write "did something" in my notebook and move on. The fussing part becomes its own hobby separate from the real goal. Strip things down to just the basics and suddenly you actually do them instead of just preparing to do them.

Bet you half the appeal of all that setup is just avoiding the actual work, lol. Like your brain gets a reward for planning it out so you feel productive without ever lifting a finger.
