Digital planners beat paper journals for actual productivity

I spent 2 years using a Leuchtturm1917 bullet journal and loved the look of it. But I was spending 45 minutes every Sunday setting up spreads and migrating tasks. I switched to a free digital app called Notion 3 months ago and now my weekly setup takes maybe 10 minutes. Has anyone else found paper bullet journaling actually slows them down instead of helping?

Oh brother, 45 minutes of decorating a notebook sounds more like arts and crafts than getting things done!

Honestly Notion killed my bullet journal too. The template cloning and drag and drop saves so much headache. I mean yeah the Leuchtturm looked pretty on Instagram but I was basically just making lists to look at later. Paper journals feel productive but actually doing the work is way faster in a digital tool.
