Can we talk about the time my bullet journal exploded in my bag at a coffee shop near Union Square?
I was sitting at Blue Bottle on 8th Avenue trying to log my weekly habit tracker when I pulled out my journal and the whole thing fell apart because the cheap glue binding finally gave up, sending sticky notes and washi tape everywhere, and the barista actually brought me a rubber band to hold it together while I tried to salvage my mood tracker for March, has anyone else had a journal literally fall apart on them mid-spread?

Nah, @nancy_miller, cheap glue keeps me humble and creative.

I used to roll my eyes at people who swore by discbound or spiral notebooks for bullet journaling. Thought they were overthinking it. But then my Moleskine fell apart on the F train last spring and I had to pick up loose pages covered in coffee drips while people stared. That was the moment I switched to a cheap spiral notebook from CVS and never looked back. Your mileage may vary but cheap glue binding has let me down twice now and I'm done trusting it. The rubber band thing is real too, I've wrapped three hair ties around my current journal just in case.
