Am I the only one who thought a monthly log had to be a calendar grid?

I saw a video where someone just used a running list of dates and tasks, and it clicked that my rigid grid was slowing me down. Which method actually works better for you?

Oh wow, I was totally the same way! I used to get so stuck trying to make my calendar grid look perfect and fill every single box. Seeing that running list idea was a game changer for me. It just feels so much lighter and easier to actually get things down on paper. Now if a day is empty, it's fine, and if one day has a huge list, that's fine too. The grid was making me feel guilty for no reason.
