Sold my truck after doing a full month of fuel math

I used to just eyeball my gas spending and swear I needed a pickup for hauling stuff around Portland. Then last October I tracked every fill up on a napkin in my glovebox. Realized I was dropping $340 a month on fuel plus $120 in insurance for a bed I used twice. Sold it in November and now rent a Home Depot van for $45 whenever I actually need to move something big. Anyone else run the numbers and ditch a car they thought they couldnt live without?
