I finally stopped meal prepping and started shopping daily

I used to spend every Sunday cooking 10 meals at once. Felt productive. But I was throwing out half of it by Thursday. Then my neighbor told me she just walks to the store every morning, buys what she needs for that day, and cooks it fresh. No waste. I tried it for a week. I saved $60 on groceries that week because I wasn't buying stuff that rotted in the fridge. Who else tried this and had it save them money?

Isn't it funny how we overcomplicate things trying to be efficient...

The whole point of meal prepping for me was to save time, not money. I get why people do the daily shopping thing and it works for some, but I'd rather spend an hour on Sunday than 20 minutes every single day walking to the store. Plus with my schedule I never know when I'll actually get home, so having those prepped meals ready is the only way I actually eat dinner instead of ordering takeout. Different strokes I guess.
