TIL a $3 can of matte black spray paint fixed my worst home theater problem
I painted the wall behind my screen matte black last weekend and the difference in how the picture pops is wild, way more than I expected from a $3 can. My screen is only 92 inches and a cheap 1080p projector, but the dark wall made the blacks look so much better at night. Has anyone else tried painting just one wall instead of doing the whole room?

Painting just one wall helps the most, but light still bounces off other walls onto your screen.
