That guy at the pawn shop laughed at my 5.1 setup, then gave me a tip
I was picking up a used receiver for $40 and the clerk saw my cart, said 'you're doing this all wrong' and told me to put my center channel inside the cabinet pointing up at a 45 degree angle instead of on top. Tried it last weekend with an old speaker grill I had lying around, and dialogue in movies sounds way clearer now. Anyone else get random advice from sales folks that actually worked?
