Serious question, is a $300 projector really worth it?
I went to a buddy's house in Nashville last weekend. He spent $300 on some no-name projector and the picture was so dim we had to watch with the lights off. My 10 year old 50 inch TV from a garage sale looked better. Am I missing something or are people just lying to themselves about budget projectors?

Man I feel you on this. My cousin bought a $280 projector off Amazon last year and we tried to watch the Super Bowl on it. The picture was so washed out we could barely see the players on the field. We ended up just using his laptop screen instead. I think a lot of people get caught up in the hype of having a big screen without thinking about how bad the image quality actually is in a real room with any light.
