TIL the original Demon's Souls had a luck stat that barely did anything, and I defended it for a decade
Found a datamine thread on a Souls forum about the 2009 PS3 version, and the luck stat only shifted item drop rates by around 2 percent at 40 points. Everyone in that thread was calling it a trap stat, and I honestly think it did its job fine because it made you commit to a build instead of chasing every shiny number. I spent 3 characters pumping luck before I learned this, and I still do not hate the choice. Did anyone else here build around a stat that turned out to be mostly for show, and did it wreck your run or make it more fun?
