Just realized the "save often" tip from my cousin at Thanksgiving was the only thing that kept my 40 hour Skyrim run from dying
He watched me lose a 6 hour Fallout save to a crash back in 2019 and told me to quicksave every 10 minutes no matter what, and last night my game froze right after I finally beat the Ebony Warrior at level 81 and I only lost 4 minutes instead of the whole night, so what's your save habit that actually saved your run?

Learned the hard way too. Lost a New Vegas run back in high school because I trusted the autosave and it glitched during the Hoover Dam fight. Now I keep 3 manual saves in rotation and quicksave before every boss. Sounds paranoid but the 10 minute rule your cousin gave you is solid, stick with it.
