Just realized I've been using the shield wrong in this game for 80 hours
Ngl I was playing Dark Souls remastered and some random invader just parried me three times in a row, then I looked up a guide and found out shields can actually block magic and elemental damage if you check the stats. Has anyone else missed something basic like this for way too long?

Did you also not realize shields have a stability stat that stops you from getting staggered?

Is it really that big of a deal though? I mean, if you're just trying to block one big hit and not tank a whole combo, the stability stat barely matters. Idk, maybe I'm just not fighting the right enemies to really feel the difference.
