I finally snapped over invisible walls in coop mode

My buddy and I spent 2 hours last night in the haunted mansion level and he kept getting stuck on stairs that were totally flat, like the game cant tell a ramp from a cube. We even restarted the checkpoint twice and the same spot ate his character every time. Has anyone else had a patch fix one thing and break every doorway in the game?

We had the same thing, and switching to walk mode on that staircase fixed it for us.
