The Tuesday from hell last August nearly made me quit the trade

I was working a retaining wall in Austin when the mortar mix I'd been using for 10 years suddenly turned to soup on me - 90 degrees and no shade, lost a full pallet of brick before I figured out the batch was old. Has anyone else had a supplier switch up their formula without warning?

Man I HATE when they do that. We had a concrete supplier change their mix without telling anyone and three slabs cracked before we figured it out.
