That Tuesday in Toledo where everything just clicked
Had a day last fall where we laid 1,200 bricks by noon, and it wasn't just speed, the lines were dead straight and the mortar grabbed perfect every time. My foreman even said 'keep doing whatever you're doing' which almost never happens. Anyone else have those freak days where the work just flows, or was it just the weather?

My uncle who ran crews for 30 years called those days "the zone hitting you" and he swore it was tied to barometric pressure dropping. Said the air gets heavier and the mortar sets slower, giving you that extra second to line things up. We had a day like that in June and I checked the weather app after, sure enough a front was moving in. Ever notice those perfect days happen right before a storm?
