Reached 1,000 straight walls plumb and level without a single redo

I hit this number last Friday on a job in Columbus and it kind of blew my mind. I mean, I've been laying brick for about 8 years now, but I never actually counted my success rate until my foreman mentioned it after we finished a tricky corner. It's not like I track every block I set, you know, but he said I've gone over a thousand without having to tear anything down. That mattered to me because early on I used to mess up at least one out of every fifty walls (usually on the first course, honestly). It shows that all that time spent leveling my line and checking my spirit level paid off, even if I never noticed it day to day. Has anyone else had a moment where you realized you just clicked into the groove without even trying?

Bet the tools didn't hurt either.

Heard a buddy swear his whole garage remodel came together because he finally got a decent laser level. Said the first time he used it, he finished a shelf in ten minutes that he'd been fighting with for an hour. Tools definitely change the game, but only if you know how to use em.
