Met an old timer named Frank at a job site in Rochester back in 2009
Frank had to be pushing 70, still laying brick like he was 20. I was a helper then, mixing mortar and hauling blocks. He saw me struggling with a corner and just walked over. He said "son, stop fighting the brick. Let it tell you where it wants to go." Took me about 3 years to really understand what he meant. He showed me how he could tap a brick once and it'd sit perfect. No level, no string line. Just feel. I still think about that when I'm on a tricky spot. Any of you guys pick up something from an old timer that stuck with you?

Frank sounds like the kind of guy who'd tell you the brick was wifi connected.
