Had to get creative with a chimney stack in a tight alley in Cincinnati
We were rebuilding a chimney and the alley was so narrow the forklift couldn't get the pallet of bricks close enough. My buddy joked we should use a skateboard, so we actually did. We put about 20 bricks at a time on a cheap board and rolled them right up to the scaffold. It looked silly but saved us an hour of hand-bombing. Anyone ever used something weird like that to move material on a tight site?

That's the kind of redneck engineering I can get behind lol. Bet the skate shop down the street would be real confused if you tried to return the board after. Honestly using whatever's lying around is half the job sometimes, looks dumb but gets it done.

Absolutely love that kind of on-the-fly problem solving. We once moved a bunch of roofing tiles on a kids' sled after a snowstorm because the driveway was pure ice. Sometimes the dumbest looking idea is the right one.
