A homeowner in St. Paul asked me why I was so particular about my mortar joints.

Honestly, that kind of talk always feels a bit over the top to me. Most clients just want a solid job done now, not a speech about the next century.

Check the last proposal I sent a client. The whole first page was just vision statements about industry leadership and legacy. Felt like I needed a decoder ring to find the actual project scope.
