Visited a bakery in Portland and every loaf had the same ear shape. Creepy.

Went to this trendy spot last Saturday that brags about hand shaping everything. But every single batard had the exact same ear curl and score pattern. Like identical. I stood there counting 12 loaves and they all matched. Either they've got a robot in back or someone is really committed to consistency. Has anyone else noticed bakeries doing this?

Every single batard had the exact same ear curl and score pattern" sounds like a stamping machine, not a baker's hands. If they're bragging about hand shaping, that's straight up lying. Molds or a robot would explain it, but either way it's not worth the price.
