Overwatered my Monstera so bad it nearly died last Sunday
I was in my living room checking my plants and noticed the soil was still wet from 5 days ago. Thought it was fine but then leaves started turning yellow and drooping by Wednesday. I pulled it out of the pot and the roots were all mushy and brown. Cut off the rot, repotted in dry mix, and now I'm just waiting to see if it bounces back. Anyone else get tricked by a pot with no drainage?

Read an article that said some terra cotta pots can actually hold moisture in the soil if they're glazed on the inside. Sounds like you did the right thing catching that root rot early, my friend's Monstera went through the same thing last year and it took about a month but new leaves finally started popping up. Just keep it in bright indirect light and hold off on watering until the top inch of soil is totally dry.

I left mine in a clay pot and now it's basically a crime scene in there lol.
