My neighbor's fern went from crispy brown to lush green in 6 weeks
I saw my neighbor's Boston fern sitting on her porch looking totally dead, all brown and brittle. She told me she started misting it twice a day (like 10 squirts each time) and moved it to a spot with indirect morning light. Has anyone else seen that fast of a turnaround with just water and light changes?

Wait did she just start misting it out of nowhere, or did she check the soil first to see if it was bone dry? I'm wondering if the misting helped more with humidity or if she was actually watering it through the brown stage without realizing it.
