My neighbor's basil plants looked sad for years until she tried one weird trick last season

She literally just started pinching off the flowers before they bloomed. I saw her garden in June with these scraggly little plants, then by August the same ones were huge and bushy. No fertilizer change or anything, just that one thing she read online. Has anyone else seen that big of a difference from just deadheading herbs?

And it makes total sense when you think about it. The plant stops wasting energy on seeds and puts everything into more leaves instead. I did it with my mint last year and it went from a few spindly stalks to practically taking over the planter.
