Just noticed my neighbor's monstera leaves are way bigger than mine

I was walking my dog past Mrs. Chen's house in Oakdale last Tuesday and saw her monstera out on the porch. The leaves are like 2 feet across easy. I asked her what she does different and she just said she talks to it every morning. I started doing that with mine a few days ago and I swear the new leaf unrolled faster. Anyone else have a plant that responded weirdly to talking to it?

I get what @emmajackson is saying about talking to plants, but I think the watering schedule is probably doing more work here than the chit-chat. Most people who start talking to their plants also start paying closer attention to them, so they notice the soil drying out or a leaf looking bad way faster. Could be that the plant is just getting better care now that you're spending more time with it, not that it cares about your morning coffee talk.

Started doing the same thing with my spider plant after reading about it online. That thing was so sad and droopy before, now it's shooting out babies like crazy. I just sit there and tell it good morning while I'm having my coffee, nothing fancy. My pothos started putting out leaves with way more variegation too after I started talking to it, could be coincidence but I'm not stopping now.
