Just hit 40 rare orchids in my backyard and I'm still shook

I counted yesterday after a storm knocked over my greenhouse shelf, 40 individual specimens from 12 different genera, and I have no idea how I got here from 3 grocery store phalaenopsis two summers ago, has anyone else's collection snowballed this hard without noticing?
