Found a monster fiddle leaf fig at an estate sale last Saturday

Last weekend I went to an estate sale in my neighborhood just to browse. Didn't expect to find anything good but then I saw this 7 foot tall fiddle leaf fig in the corner. The guy running the sale said it was 3 years old and barely watered. I got it for only $15 and brought it home. It dropped like 10 leaves the first week but now it's pushing out new growth. Has anyone else rescued a sad plant from a sale and had it bounce back?

I actually read somewhere that fiddle leaf figs kind of like being a little neglected, so the barely watered part might have worked in your favor honestly. That's a steal for $15, those things cost a fortune at the nursery. I had a friend who rescued a pothos from a garage sale that was basically just a stem and it came back like nothing happened. Just give it time and don't overwater it now that you have it home, they hate too much attention.

$15 is still too much for a plant that'll drop all its leaves the second you look at it wrong.
