Finally got my monstera to fenestrate after 14 months of waiting
Moved it to a north facing window in my Chicago apartment last spring and gave it a moss pole, and this week two new leaves unfurled with actual splits. Anyone else find that light direction mattered way more than fertilizer for getting those holes?
Read somewhere that monsteras need like 800 foot candles of light to actually split, which is way more than most people give them. Makes sense that the window direction would matter more than feeding it.
