Can we talk about overwatering seedlings? I see it everywhere.

I watched a neighbor lose 12 tomato starts in one week because they watered daily. Roots need air as much as they need moisture, and soggy soil drowns them fast. Has anyone else noticed this pattern in community gardens?

Killing plants with kindness is everywhere once you start looking, from overwatered seedlings to overfed lawns. People see their gardens as babies that need constant attention, not realizing that neglect is sometimes the best thing for them. It's like that old saying about a watched pot never boiling, except here the watched seedling just rots.

Read somewhere that plants like a dry spell just as much as people do.
