PSA: That $60 corner rounder from the craft store ate my leather, watch the blade gap
I grabbed a $60 corner rounder at a craft store in Portland last month to clean up the corners on a batch of journal covers, and it chewed through a nice piece of veg tan leather like it was paper. I found out the blade gap was too wide and it was tearing instead of slicing, so I shimmed it with a strip of cardstock and it cut clean after that. Has anyone else had to mess with the gap on a cheap rounder, or should I just save up for a good one?
