I had to finish the crease with a butter knife from my kitchen, which felt like a total hack move, but has anyone found a folder that can actually handle thick leather without breaking?

What kind of bone folder was it, like a basic Teflon one or something heavier? I've heard the really thin ones are basically just for paper and snap under real pressure.

Ever try a nylon folder? They've got way more flex than bone or Teflon, so they bend instead of snapping. Mine's survived some pretty brutal veg-tan projects.
