Found a 200 year old book repair manual at a garage sale for $3 last Saturday
It had a whole section on using milk and bread crumbs to fix leather bindings, has anyone actually tried that or is it just an old wives tale?

Man, are you actually planning on slathering dairy on a 200 year old book? That sounds like a good way to end up with a science project instead of a restoration.
