Update: spotted a Little Free Library in Boise with 30 romance novels and zero book club picks
Walked past it on my morning loop near the co-op downtown and opened the little door out of habit. Counting them on a whim: 30 paperbacks, all romance, not a single book any of us picked in the past year. We argued for 20 minutes at our January meeting about whether to read The Overstory and the whole club nearly split. Made me wonder if the little box on the corner knows more about what readers actually want than we do. Do your clubs ever get outvoted by the neighborhood? Ours might.
