That moment I switched sides on the 'unreliable narrator' debate
I spent three book club meetings arguing that an unreliable narrator ruins a story because you can't trust what you're reading. Then last month we read "The Silent Patient" and I finally got why people love that device. The way the ending reframed everything I thought I knew made me realize that doubt is the whole point. Has anyone else had a book completely flip their opinion on a literary technique?

Did the twist in "The Silent Patient" hit you as hard as it hit me?

Man that ending made me feel sick - did you catch the hint with the painting early on or did it fly right past you?
