Our book club debate on character arcs crashed hard last night
We were supposed to argue about whether the main character in 'The Night Tiger' actually grew or just stayed stubborn, but nobody showed up except me and Linda. She brought wine so we just vented about our jobs instead lol. Has anyone else had a meeting totally flop like that?

Yeah just cancel next time if it's only two people, not worth the effort.

Three out of four of my book club members flaked on our last meeting about 'Pachinko'. Had it all planned out, snacks ready, even printed discussion questions, and then it was just me and my friend Dave sitting there for twenty minutes before we gave up and ordered pizza. We ended up talking about his cat's weird habit of opening cabinets, which is not what I signed up for. Totally feel your pain about the wine thing, that's the only way those nights are salvageable.
