How our book club used to waste 20 minutes on snacks before every meeting
For three years we had this routine where the first 20 minutes of every meeting was just people talking about what dip they brought. Last spring I suggested we just do 10 minutes of chatting then jump straight into the discussion. Now we actually finish on time and get deeper into the book. Anyone else find that cutting out the small talk made your discussions better or did it kill the social vibe for your group?
