Hot take: I dropped $60 on a 'book club debate' notebook and still lost the argument

Bought this fancy leather notebook from a local shop near downtown to track points for our monthly debate on mystery novels, but I spent the whole time doodling doodle art of the detective instead of writing arguments. Has anyone else found a better way to keep notes without just making a mess?

Look, @jesse988, are we really acting like a spiral notebook is some sacred object now? It's just paper and a spiral, not a holy relic. People get so dramatic about the weirdest things.
