Got dragged to a book club in Savannah last month and the host had us vote on the ending like it was a jury trial
She passed out index cards and made everyone rank the last chapter from 1 to 5, then read the results out loud while the author was literally sitting on her couch. Has anyone else been in a club where the pick's author actually shows up, because I spent 40 minutes trying not to make eye contact.

That whole ranking thing sounds like a nightmare even without the author there.
