Turned around on using those magnetic welding squares

I thought they were just another gimmick tool for years. Picked up a cheap set at Northern Tool for $18 and they saved me a ton of time lining up brackets on a job last month. Has anyone else found a use for them on pipe work?

Pipe work is pushing it, they're made for flat surfaces not round.

Lol "pushing it" is putting it mildly. You might as well try to stick a command strip on a basketball. I can already see someone watching their brand new smart lock slide right off their copper pipe into the dirt. At least with a flat wall you can blame the paint or the drywall. On a pipe there's no excuse that's just physics slapping you in the face.
