That $150 harness I bought lasted one week on a refinery job

Picked up a fancy positioning harness before a turnaround in Port Arthur, figured it was worth the cash. The buckles corroded after five days around the acid fumes, total garbage. Anyone else have luck with cheaper rigs that actually hold up in chemical plants, or am I just stuck replacing these every few weeks?
