Shoutout to the right grinding disc for stainless steel

I was fixing a boiler last week and my stainless welds kept cracking. I got really confused because the metal looked clean. An older worker saw me using a plain disc to grind the edges. He said that puts carbon steel bits into the stainless and ruins the weld. I grabbed a disc just for stainless and tried again. The new welds held up with no cracks at all. Now I know to pick the correct disc for each job.
