Just realized my old 3/4-inch drive ratchet from the 90s is still smoother than my new one

Tbh, I was swapping out a pump impeller in a Philly plant last month and the old Craftsman just felt better in my hand. Anyone else have a tool they just can't retire, even with newer stuff on the truck?

Yeah, that old steel just has a different weight to it. My dad's old Snap-on ratchet from the 80s has a backdrag you can barely feel, none of my newer ones are that silky. They just don't make the pawls the same way anymore.
