Found a surprising stat about boiler pressure vessel failures in a 2022 industry report

Read that nearly 40% of failures in older vessels were linked to improper post-weld heat treatment, which was way higher than I expected. Anyone else seen data like that?

Scary but makes total sense. That heat treatment step is easy to rush or skip to save time and money. Seen it happen on smaller jobs where they cut corners. The stats probably don't even show all the near misses either. Really shows how one skipped process can haunt you for decades.
