Appreciation post: The old-timer who saved our whole week on the power plant job

We had a massive flange alignment issue on a new boiler section, and nothing was fitting for two days. This retired guy, Frank, came in, showed us his trick with a come-along and a piece of chalk to mark high spots, and we had it bolted up in three hours. Anyone know other tricks for stubborn flanges?

My version of that trick would probably involve a lot of swearing and a bent come-along.

Honestly, I just used a long pipe over the handle for extra leverage. Saved my knuckles and my temper that day.
