Went to a local game cafe last weekend and saw a guy flip a table over a lost game of Catan

Happened at Dice & Drafts in Austin around 11pm on a Saturday, dude was dead silent the whole game then just snapped and flipped the whole board - has anyone else seen someone take a board game way too seriously in public?

Thats wild, I've seen people get salty over Monopoly but flipping a table is a whole other level. Maybe it's just me but Catan is supposed to be chill and fun, not something to lose your mind over. I mean, the dice are random half the time anyway, so getting that worked up seems like a waste of energy. This guy must have had something else going on in his life to snap like that over wood and sheep cards.

Right on. That Catan thing is just ridiculous. A buddy of mine once threw the whole game board across the room because his buddy kept stealing his ore. Table was cleared in seconds, pieces went everywhere. I just sat there eating chips and watching like it was a free show. The whole game is dumb luck with the dice anyway, getting that mad just proves you take the stupid sheep cards way too seriously. Yeah, that dude definitely had other stuff going on, no normal person cracks over a board game.
