The moment I realized my dice tray was ruining my games

I was at a Wednesday night game at Mike's place in Portland last month. We were playing a heavy euro game and I kept getting bad rolls. I blamed the dice, the table, even my luck. Then Mike pointed out that my felt-lined tray had a thick lip that was catching the dice and stopping them from bouncing. I switched to his flat wooden tray and suddenly my rolls evened out. Has anyone else had a gaming accessory secretly mess with their results?

Bought a fancy wooden dice tower once thinking it would be cool for D&D. Turns out the interior angle was too steep and every die just slid straight down and landed flat every time. Got so paranoid about my dice being weighted I spent like an hour testing them in salt water at 2am. Realized later it was just the tower being a jerk.
