Spotting a shift in how board game fans handle game storage at home
In my experience, more people in our hobby are getting into DIY projects for their collections. I've seen friends build whole wall units just to hold their board games. For instance, someone I know made a shelf with slots for different game box sizes. This really helps keep things tidy and ready for game night. I tried something smaller by adding clear bins to my storage area. It's made grabbing a game so much easier than digging through piles. Take this with a grain of salt, but it seems like a good step for any game geek's space.

Really building whole shelves just for boxes?

Did a friend of mine once build a whole closet just for his board game collection? He said it was to keep everything sorted (which it did, honestly), but we all knew it was just an excuse to show off his fancy woodworking skills. The shelves were so nice that we ended up playing games there more often just to look at them. Sometimes the project itself becomes the main point, not just the stuff you put on it. Now I see any custom shelf and wonder what the real story is.
