Random guy at a con told me my dice tower was too loud
He said it sounded like rocks in a blender every time I rolled. Swapped my acrylic tower for a felt-lined wooden one and now the table is way more chill. Anyone else get called out for their noisy gear?

Rocks in a blender" is a good description but felt lined wood can still be pretty loud if the dice are heavy.

Honestly that "rocks in a blender" phrase killed me because it's so true. Ngl I bought one of those fancy felt lined wooden towers online and my metal dice still sound like someone dropped a bag of bolts down the stairs. Tbh I ended up just rolling on a folded up towel half the time to keep the peace in my apartment.
