PSA: I tried teaching my niece a 'kid's game' and got schooled

Last weekend, I brought over a copy of Outfoxed for my 7-year-old niece, thinking it would be a gentle introduction. She grasped the deduction mechanics in about two minutes and then proceeded to win three games in a row by tracking every single clue perfectly. I was honestly trying to let her win a little, but she didn't need the help. It made me realize we often underestimate how sharp younger players can be with the right rules. Has anyone else had a game night completely flipped by a new player's unexpected skill?

Oh man, that's so real. My little cousin did the same thing to me with that very game last Christmas. I was so sure I had it figured out, and then he just laid out his whole perfect guess. Kids pick up on patterns way faster than we give them credit for sometimes. It's a good lesson to just play the game straight with them.

Yeah @sanchez.mary, my buddy's kid did that to him too.
